Love One

Yay for the first proper photos of my kitty Lulu also known as Heffalump.

I reckon she is bout 4-5 human years old now.

I can't be sure about her exact age since she was a stray cat when I first met her.

I have always been a (kinda crazy) cat lady; I fed the stray cats around my office and Bunny's house back in Singapore on a daily basis.

The stray cats on my street were taken care of by my nice neighbour so I had no worries there. :)

Lulu was just one of the many cats I regularly fed, and not my favourite at that time.

However, when some really horrible people complained to the government authorities about 'dirty stray animals' living around their apartments (it really irks me that some individuals think so lowly of animals, and have no respect or kindness for other living things), I took Lulu home against my parents' wishes.

The rest of the kitties had others feeding them as well, but nobody liked nor fed this particular one so I was really scared she would be caught and killed by the pest control people.

And that is how she came to live with me around 3 years ago.  ♥♥

When I migrated to Sydney, I flew her over and she had to be quarantined for a month at Eastern Creek!

Anyways, boring story aside, my dearly loved little girl has been such a happy camper since my parents arrived here for a visit.

Finally all her favourite people are in the same house again!

PS: Guess whose legs/hands/body belongs to which member of the family?

Hint: I am not one of them! ;P

xoxo

  26. Your cat is too adorable for words! I love cats, and there's a 'no pets' policy where I live. It's really kind of sad; cats can cheer me up in a heartbeat! It's nice to see that you are committed to giving your cat a good home:)

Bigger yay for people taking care of these pretty little souls that are in the streets alone.
And a big booo to all the people who think they're "cleaner" than any of these animals.

  36. oh, dear! You cat is very sweet - I can't understand someone couldn't have deep feelings to this baby. You did a great job saving her life, it's so you being kind for everyone.
I used to be cat lady before when I lived with my parents but my parents switched to dogs as mom had always been a doggy lady. I hope I'll have a cat pet home one day when I move to a bigger apt. Now I only can be a spider lady (sounds like my bf is Spider man, hahaha, just kidding), having cat in my dreams

  60. I am such a sucker for posts starring aniamls! I've never had a pet (aside from an absurdly long-lived goldfish) due to sever allergies, sadly, but I love all things fuzzy and have a probably perturbing tendency to try to pet every dog I see on a walk, whether it has any interest in my or not. If someone is walking their cat, I do the same. Lulu is absolutely adorable, and good for you for rescuing her!

  69. She is very very cute! Look at those big eyes! My kitty Boofy has huge eyes too and I call them "boogly" cos they sort of bulge out hahaha. Its so adorable.
And what a nice story too - bringing in a stray cat. I don't understand people who hate animals either - especially those kinds that hate cats because they're predators. A cat can't help what it is, so why hate it because it needs to kill other things to live. That's nature.
