When I put on this outfit, I certainly did not think that I would end up looking like an ogre with no neck. But here I am... Looking like I have put on 10 pounds overnight and morphed into a lump.
I of course blame my coat, and not my incessant eating of McDonalds and the like!
I was also horrified that Bunny did not tell me my dress seemed to be bunched up at one side, but that is a typical man for you... :(
I bought this unflattering (but very pretty on the hanger) coat last year, and it's been the coat I use the most when the weather gets a bit too chilly for my cardigans. I adore the lining like no other, and I am positive I actually emitted a few squeals when I saw it in store!
When buttoned up, this coat flares out gently in a slight a-line shape, and I would be sure to get a photo of it's ladylike silhouette the next time I wear it. :)
The dress is one of my most beautiful vintage finds, a Laura Ashley dress that has the loveliest print. Everywhere I went that day, she attracted compliments and smiles. Her vibrant color seems to be washed out against my coat though, and I can't wait to put her on my mannequin for some Ditzy Granny Vintage photos.

I love the coat! U look awesome in it n no u don't look big at all..anyone and everyone will look a little bigger when it comes to fall/winter wear. Even the skinniest! So go ahead with the McDonalds still! Lol! I can only wish I can wear some of my winter clothings here without looking silly when I go out (since I'm from Malaysia) =P

I adore the lining of the AH coat - I'm just like you, I get extremely excited about linings of AH coats and squeal with delight even though NOBODY ever sees it! hehehe (too often it forms part of my reasoning when I buy yet ANOTHER jacket/coat from AH)
I also love those Wittner pumps - very sad that I missed out on the Miu Miu ones as they make a lovely wardrobe staple!

I don't see anything unflattering about your coat - it looks charming on you and I don't think you look swamped at all :) I love the cherry LV clutch. It's something a little more playful than their usual bags. I love the way you always incorporate animals into your outfits. The deer necklace and hedgehog earrings are great.

ReplyDeleteyou? morphed into an ogre?!!! puh-leaase....you always look lovely in everything you wear! i wish i'm like you, you can pull off practically anything! I love the coat by the way. It's nice that you had a great weekend. Me? as usual, doing some household chores and the like, but it was fun and loving too. my husband and i always do chores together. Even when i'm cooking, he would chop up the veggies and meat for me :)So, i say, everyday is a happy day!!! I got busy making some homemade stuff too! peanut butter, apple butter, brownies and what not... something for the kids to munch with whenever they hang out after school..heheheh... happy monday dear!
That's the reason I don't wear coats. I think they always make you look like you've been eating junk for a month !! During winter I usualy layer cardigans and jackets and hat and scarves ... and now I think of it I must look pretty fat aswell ! I need a winter jacket T__T !!!!!
