Love Two

I know I have been posting quite a bit on my family recently, and I promise this is the last post for a while since my parents have flown back to Singapore and my sister seems to be in the full throes of doing up her Marine Biology thesis in Perth.

So yet another care package arrived from my sister in April, and before I could even blog about this one here, she sent me another - a laser toy for Lulu, my kitty.

Well, looky at all the cute goodies she got me - 3 types of Hello Kitty Shower Puffs, Miffy and Hello Kitty Socks to keep warm over winter, Mameshiba Face Cream and some pampering facial mask sheets.  

My sister may be 5 hours away by plane, but never far from my mind and heart. ♥

While my parents were here, I hurriedly whipped out my SpongeBob Monopoly! I adore all the cute little SpongeBob details e.g. pineapple houses, the funny property names, and of course I never fail to commandeer the Patrick token. :)

Nobody is really interested to play passe board games with me, and sometimes I have to force Bunny to play it with me. He does so with a very disgruntled demeanor that spoils the happiness of Monopoly!! 

Anyhoo, it was a blast and I am sure we annoyed our neighbours greatly with our loud bursts of laughter. My dad won hands down despite being the slowest to buy properties, as he always excels at everything he does, even games!

My daddy-o is a real inspiration to me. He worked so hard from the get-go, dropping out of Raffles Institution, Singapore's Number One Boys School, to support his mom and siblings.

When I was younger, I used to hear of his top secret escapades when he went on government meetings abroad. Tales of when spies broke into his hotel room to steal documents, and how he slept with all his information on a single A4 piece of paper tucked under his clothes with his hands over them, so nobody could lift it in his sleep. I always thought my daddy made these stories up, but I now know they were true.

Even without paper qualifications, my dad rose to become Chief of a Statutory Board under a Government Ministry which shall remain nameless. I have never heard of double promotions, or even promotions over their own bosses, but that's my daddy for you. 

He is THE BEST daddy-spiration a girl can ever have.
